Anti-Quote of the Day

Being an accompanist is a behind-the-scenes kind of job, much like working stage crew for a theater show.
-from a Yahoo Answers thread on Why is it that the accompanist gets absolutely no credit?

Wow, I'm glad I don't live in the world where the people on that website live. I've only felt like a "behind-the-scenes" person once, because I was playing a keyboard for a show from behind a curtain, and I was right next to the lighting girl. The audience didn't see me during the show, but they certainly gave me credit. I guess I must be fortunate to work with really gracious people, unlike those sad people at yahoo answers!
