First of all, I'm reading Susan Tomes' Out of Silence: A Pianist's Yearbook, a year's worth of observations on the pianistic life. This morning I also had a first listen to Julia Fischer and Martin Helmchen's Schubert: Complete Works for Violin and Piano, Vol. 2
, in which Julia Fischer appears as both violinist (in the Grand Duo and C major Fantasie) and duo pianist (in the F minor Fantasie). And today I received a promotional copy of Artists of the Royal Conservatory's Two Roads to Exile
