Piano With Bovine Paint Job

This pimped-out piano in South China, Maine brings to mind the text of Samuel Barber's A Green Lowland of Pianos:

"after the vacation
they cause scandals
in a concert hall
during the artistic milking
suddenly they lie down
like cows

looking with indifference
at the white flowers
of the audience

at the gesticulating
of the ushers"

(poetry of Jerzy Harasymowicz, translated by Czeslaw Milosz)

Notice the pink pedals--if there was ever an argument against milking a piano through overpedaling, this is it.

  2. It's certainly a piano that kowtows to no one.
