This lecture on creativity, artistry, and the muse by Elizabeth Gilbert (author of Eat, Pray, Love) is worth every second of the 20 minutes you'll spend watching it.
Good to bump into you, Chris, and thanks for your tip to check out this amazing video - a key word in Elizabeth's incredible monologue (how, exactly, did she pull that off???), arriving at approx 14'30" in her presentation, is the word 'collaboration' in case you didn't catch it...as in the collaboration between artist and muse...I have to admit I'm absolutely new to her work, but I guess you'd call me won over! Thank you so much for sharing this. I really loved her book, and she is just as dynamic and down to earth as I imagined. Really wonderful.
