CPB Stats Snapshot: Facebook vs. Twitter Reader Engagement

As a longtime member of both Facebook and Twitter, I've always wondered which of the two social networks drives more visits to this site. Here are some interesting statistics from the last week:

Visits from Facebook in the last week: 515
Number of Facebook likes/followers for the Collaborative Piano Blog page: 2144
Visits from Twitter in the last week: 10
Number of Twitter followers for @chrisfoley: 3988

Divide the number of visits by the number of followers to get a number that represents the number of visits per follower:

Facebook visits per follower in the last week: .24
Twitter visits per follower in the last week: .004

Therefore, Collaborative Piano Blog visits for the last week have been greater from Facebook than Twitter by a factor of 60.

Thanks everyone! If you haven't already done so, join the Collaborative Piano Blog Facebook page and catch even more of the action.

  1. Very good post! I also think that these platforms are best when it comes to start promoting your business on social media sites. I have a review blog and with the help of Twitter and facebook ads services we get huge traffic on it. The results are absolutely great whereas the amount needed for the marketing is very low.
